Star Wars toy art 8 by jasonedmiston Star Wars toy art 8 by jasonedmiston
Droideka from the Star Wars Legacy Collection Geonosis Arena Showdown

12" high, acrylic on paper and CS3 effects.

Thought I'd post the full image of a character my first Star Wars figure set.

There are six 2-packs, with another six 2-packs to come summer 2010. The sets combine to create a cardboard arena semi circle. The second set completes the circle.

Question? Do you paint these by studying the actual toy, or photo, or both?

Both actually.
I was sent photos of the prototypes for accuracy, and I also took photos of a model (my Dad in most cases), dressed in robes and a Judo outfit to approximate the folds and shadows of Jedi clothing.
