Joclad Danva from the Star Wars Legacy Collection Geonosis Arena Showdown

12" high, acrylic on paper, blast in CS3

Thought I'd post the full image of a character my first Star Wars figure set.

There are six 2-packs, with another six 2-packs to come summer 2010. The sets combine to create a cardboard arena semi circle. The second set completes the circle.

wish they would release figures of sejphet josal who was the jedi with nicanas tassu. also need an updated lumas etima figure that was released with the Jedi Knight Army pack from a few years back, that where the rodian jedi came from. Geonosis Arena Packs are what collectors like me love, obscure cool jedi made into figures. Wish they would also do Sarrissa Jeng and Que-Mars Redath Gom, you can never have enough weequay jedi since only Sora Bulq and Sev have been made.

This is great work, just one thing I'd like to mention.

Joclad Danva was known to be one of the few Jedi during the battle of Geonosis who used dual lightsabers. Just something to consider.

Still, stunning artwork!

Thanks! Glad you like it!

You peaked my curiosity, so I looked at all the visual reference that I could find in AOTC, during the Battle Arena fight, and Joclad only uses one green saber in every shot. There are shots of the actor that portrays him using two sabers, but they are pre cg, and probably just shots taken during fight warm-ups, as he is also the fight trainer for the movie. His Wookiepedia might say different, but the theatrical release of AOTC, as well as Hasbro's toy division, sides with my interpretation of the character, as this is how they chose to release the figure.

I pride myself on being accurate, so please take my rebuttal as sincere and respectful. :)

BTW, Hasbro originally asked me to paint Mace Windu with a burnt robe from the scene where he is shot at by Jango, but released the figure without a robe for some reason. I was not asked to correct the painting (probably to to timing and/or budget).

Thanks Serge. I would like to rework the skin tone a little around the forehead though. Should be a little softer and more flat. Finding a reference shot of an extra who was in the movie for two seconds was quite difficult.
