Gamorrean Guard card for this year's Star Wars Galaxy set (series #6)

This was a fun one to do. I imagined the pig guard as a bouncer to an exclusive club, and you gotta know the password to get in...or you better know how to use the force.

13" x 18" acrylic on paper.

Excellent work, made all the more awesome by the fact that this is a traditional painting!! This pig guard looks a lot scarier and tougher than the ones in the movie. I don't know about you, but always found Tatooine's lawlessness, widespread slavery, and Jabba's strange tastes as an alien crime lord scarier than any display of Imperial might. Tatooine is the sort of world where you wind up meeting a very sticky end if you aren't able to talk quickly and draw you blaster even quicker when you run into trouble. At least the Empire is recruiting, and all those marching soldiers and gigantic space cruisers bristling with weapons are solidly reassuring proof of the Star Wars humans' incredible might and domination over the galaxy. On Tatooine, on the other hand, you may find your status dropping to "slave" and then "lunch" very quickly...
