Caramilk Mummy by jasonedmiston Caramilk Mummy by jasonedmiston
A portfolio piece that helped me get my artist's rep for illustration work when I was starting out. (Three in a Box Inc.)

20" x 10"
Acrylic on paper

I used my dad wrapped in toilet paper for photo reference. He's just a little less wrinkly.

Such amazing details, from the hieroglyphs to the engraving on the chocolate! You have really shown an amazing amount of effort in this piece - it is also just so damn funny too!

I'm trying to get more into digital. Thinking about buying Painter 11 to compare with CS3 that I'm currently messing around with.

haven't messed with painter yet. but i will soon. i'm more comfy with cs2 than 3. more workspace. the functions weren't so different anyway.

Thanks a lot!

I saw your Sashimi's Revenge in various places around the net, and saved it for my files a while back. I love the expression and colour palette. Any suggestions on where to learn to paint in photoshop? I'm all traditional right now, but want to learn digital paints.

When I saw that you were also on dA, I had to add you to my watch.
Thanks for your watch as well.

Well, I came from airbrush and acrylic and digital painting is VERY simple :D
Try Painter. A lot of people who came from traditional painting find it more easy to learn.
With a little training, you'll becoming a GOD Oo

Thx a lot a Jay, I'm honored ;)

oh see you do him in the classic movie garb. robe, gloves, bandaged face, glasses, but hes got the bandages pulled away to eat so you just see crumbs floating and maybe some chocolate on the gloves. XD
